Meet Dr. Ashley Miller, Ph.D., ABPP-CN

Dr. Ashley Miller is the founder of Newport Neuropsychology. She is a licensed, board-certified clinical neuropsychologist (PSY33678), specializing in adult and geriatric neuropsychological evaluations. Dr. Miller has a warm and compassionate demeanor and is committed to providing the highest professional and ethical standards of care to her patients.

Dr. Miller has extensive clinical experience working with individuals with a wide range of neurological conditions, including dementia, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, brain tumor, and cognitive concerns in the context of other medical and mental health conditions.

Dr. Miller earned her doctorate at the University of Tulsa. She completed a pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, with speciality training in neuropsychology, followed by a formal two-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the Cleveland Clinic. Prior to moving to Newport Beach, Dr. Miller was on staff as a Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Cleveland Clinic, in the Department of Neurology. Dr. Miller is currently a member of Medical Staff at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach.

Dr. Miller remains active in clinical research collaborations and recent publications include neurocognitive profiles in patients with COVID-19, investigation of inaccurate classifications on a cognitive screening measure, neuropsychological and ethical issues in functional neurosurgery, and neuropsychological interviewing in movement disorders.
